Welcome to Grounded CrossFit! Founded in 2017 by husband-and-wife team Natalie and Patrick Reid, our gym is built on the belief that fitness is about people. We are more than just one of the Hanover gyms; we are a family-owned space where community comes first, and every group fitness class is designed to foster support, accountability, and connection. We focus on safety, proper movement, and functional fitness that helps you move better, feel stronger, and live healthier for the long run. We don't just build fitness—we build friendships, a lifestyle, and an unbreakable community.
Grounded CrossFit was founded by husband-and-wife team, Natalie and Patrick Reid, driven by a shared belief that community is essential for transformation. Patrick, with over 13 years in CrossFit, brings a love for competition and teamwork. Natalie, with a background in dance and running, is focused on functional competence—helping everyone move well and live a healthy life.
Together, they fuse this passion for competition and functional movement to create a gym that is more than just a space to work out. Their mission is to help you experience the same life-changing results they found through expert fitness coaching and an unbreakable community.

As the middle child of nine siblings, Vi has always been on the go. In high school she played basketball and ran track to stay active. After relocating to Maryland Vi, began feeling homesick and disconnected from her once active self.
After signing up for a six week challenge, Vi walked into Grounded Crossfit and was hooked after the first class! The community at Grounded has helped her discover a much better version of herself than she ever thought possible. Coaching gives her the chance to help others realize their true potential and inspires her to keep challenging herself.

Frankie found his passion for fitness in high school where he played football, basketball, and ran track and field. He continued his passion for fitness throughout his adult life and into his Army career.
Frankie has tried training programs from all regions of the fitness industry bodybuilding, personal trainers, functional fitness, bootcamps. None of them offered him the challenge and sense of accomplishment that has come from doing CrossFit. He got his start at Grounded CrossFit first as an athlete and now is a Coach. “I fell in love with CrossFit and the community here at Grounded so much that I knew I needed to become a Coach. I wanted to help people find success in this sport and achieve their fitness goals!”

He's always been into sports from a young age; soccer, baseball, football, basketball. As he grew taller he focused more on basketball. With his height growth also came the desire to focus on muscle growth.
He started working at the gym in college to gain further knowledge and by default be in a gym environment more. As Wynton stepped into the work force he went to globo gyms but found it boring and ineffective. Grounded has allowed him to use an hour of time devoted to programming, strength and cardio simultaneously.
“I just show up and do the work and the results followed. What I love about the community is its no bull attitude. Everyone is there to work hard and get better. The random cookouts and beers are a plus too.”

Kevin started doing CrossFit while deployed to Iraq in
2011 and has been hooked ever since. He earned his CrossFit
Level 1 certification in 2022 and brings a decade of
experience in functional fitness, leadership, and mental
resilience to every class.
As a military chaplain and pastoral
counselor, Kevin believes in training the whole person —
body, mind, and spirit. His coaching style is encouraging,
grounded, and focused on helping athletes push themselves
with purpose, precision, and a sense of community.

Aaron found CrossFit in 2012 after growing up playing soccer and missing the competitive edge that came with it. He was searching for something that would truly challenge him and he’s been hooked ever since. He loves the blend of strength, conditioning, gymnastics, and grit that defines CrossFit. For Aaron, it’s the daily physical and mental challenge that makes the training so rewarding.
As a CrossFit Level 1 Coach, his goal is simple: help athletes move well, build strength, and leave better than they walked in.
Work hard, keep it fun, and don’t take yourself too seriously, that’s the standard he brings to every class.

Robert didn’t enjoy working out or going to the gym until later in life. Before discovering
CrossFit,
his fitness routine centered around running and cycling. It wasn’t until his physical therapist encouraged him to start lifting weights that he began exploring different fitness classes—
and that search ultimately led him to CrossFit.
From his very first day at Grounded, Robert was hooked. Today, CrossFit is what he looks forward to every day. He loves the community and especially enjoys watching other athletes grow stronger and more confident throughout their CrossFit journeys. That passion for people and progress is what inspired him to become a coach. -
